2. Data collected when visiting the website
The website contains no forms, requires no registration and uses no advertising or profiling tools. When the site is accessed, the hosting server automatically records technical data in log files (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system, referring site). This data is used solely to operate and secure the website, is not used to identify visitors and is deleted periodically by the hosting provider.
3. Cookies and Google Analytics
Only if you consent via the corresponding notice, the website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google LLC (USA). Google Analytics uses cookies (_ga, _ga_*, stored for up to 2 years) to measure in aggregate form how the website is used (pages visited, visit duration, device type, approximate origin). Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses. Data may be transferred to the United States; Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, recognised by the Federal Council as providing adequate protection. Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(6) FADP; Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
If you decline, Google Analytics is not loaded and no cookies are set. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookies” link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in the browser’s local storage (localStorage). More information: Google privacy policy.
4. Contact by email or phone
If you contact the office by email or phone, the data you provide (e.g. name, contact details and content of your enquiry) is processed solely to respond to your enquiry and, where applicable, to accept and carry out a mandate. This data is protected by attorney-client privilege (Art. 321 Swiss Criminal Code and Art. 13 Federal Act on the Freedom of Movement for Lawyers) and is not disclosed to third parties unless required by law or with your consent.
Please note that unencrypted email does not guarantee full confidentiality. For particularly sensitive matters we recommend contacting the office by phone or arranging a meeting.
5. Third-party services and external links
The website contains a link to Google Maps showing the office location. No data is sent to Google unless the link is clicked; once opened, the privacy policy of Google LLC applies.
6. Hosting and disclosure abroad
The website and email are hosted by InMotion Hosting, Inc., with servers located in the United States. The provider processes data solely on behalf of the controller and only as necessary to provide the service. Disclosure abroad takes place in accordance with Art. 16 and 17 FADP, in particular on the basis of appropriate contractual safeguards.
7. Retention
Data from simple enquiries is kept only as long as needed to handle them. Data relating to mandates is kept in accordance with statutory and professional file-retention obligations (as a rule, ten years after the end of the mandate).
8. Security
The website is accessible only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The office takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
9. Your rights
Within the limits of the law and subject to professional secrecy, you have the right to:
